Meet the Daber AI Assistant: Build and Run Your AI Call Center by Chatting

Daber AI now has an AI assistant built into the dashboard. It sits in a panel on the right side of every page. You tell it what you want in your own words, and it makes the change for you: it creates the agent, writes its instructions, adds the answers to your common questions, runs a test conversation, sets up a campaign. You don't need to know where any setting lives.

Put together with self-serve signup, the path from "I want an AI phone line" to a working agent no longer involves a developer, a sales call or a manual.

Why we built it

A call center has many moving parts: the agent's instructions, the call flow, the knowledge it answers from, the tools it can use, the phone number, the outbound lists. Each part has its own screen, and every screen is one more thing a business owner has to learn before they get value.

We already let people build their agent by chatting with Claude or ChatGPT through our MCP connection. It worked, but it assumed you used one of those assistants and were comfortable connecting it. The built-in assistant removes that step. It's simply there, inside the product, already signed in to your workspace.

What it can do

The assistant can do anything our MCP server can do, because it uses the same set of tools. In practice that means you can ask it to:

  • Build an agent. "Create a receptionist for my dental clinic that books cleanings and answers questions about insurance."
  • Turn a script into a call flow. Paste the script your team already uses, and it builds the flow step by step.
  • Stock the knowledge base. Give it your FAQ or a policy document; it adds the answers as drafts for you to approve.
  • Test. "Run a test conversation where the caller wants to cancel an appointment." It shows you how the agent answered.
  • Fix what you didn't like. "It was too formal. Make it warmer and shorter." It rewrites the instructions.
  • Run outbound campaigns (when outbound calling is on for your workspace). Create a campaign, add contacts, check that everything is ready, launch.
  • Answer questions about your account. "Why didn't yesterday's campaign call anyone?" "Which calls were transferred to a person this week?"

It knows which page you're on, so "make this agent warmer" means the agent on your screen.

What it won't do without you

Some actions cost money, reach a real person or delete something: placing a call, launching a campaign, sending an email, removing data. For those, the assistant stops and shows a card that says exactly what it's about to do, with Approve and Cancel buttons. Nothing happens until you click.

Everything else stays traceable:

  • Every change it makes is recorded in the Audit log under your name.
  • Agent and flow edits keep a Version history, so any change can be rolled back in one click.
  • It acts only inside the workspace you're signed in to, and only for admins.

How to open it

Click AI Assistant at the top right of the dashboard, or press ⌘J (Mac) or Ctrl+J (Windows). The panel stays open as you move between pages and keeps the conversation, so you can ask for something, watch the page update, and keep going. You can drag it wider or fold it away.

It speaks the languages the dashboard speaks: English, Hebrew, Spanish, Arabic, Russian and French.

Getting started

  1. Create your workspace. It takes a minute. Building and testing in your browser is free.
  2. Open the assistant and describe your business, or paste your website address.
  3. When the agent sounds right, put it on a real phone line. That part is a button in the dashboard: $3 for a 14-day launch with 30 call minutes, then the Starter plan at $49 a month unless you cancel. Self-serve phone numbers are US and Canada for now.
