How to forward calls on Verizon
Keep your Verizon number and send the calls you can't take to your AI receptionist. Every code below comes from Verizon's support pages.
The short answer
How do I forward calls on Verizon?
On a Verizon mobile, dial Verizon's conditional forwarding code followed by the 10-digit number you're forwarding to. Your phone rings first, and calls you don't answer after 3 to 6 rings, or that arrive while you're busy, go to that number. To forward every call instead, use the forward-all code. Listen for the beeps and wait for the call to end on its own. One stop code turns either off. Verizon landlines use a forward-all code too, with a slightly different procedure.
Verizon mobile codes
Dial these from the Verizon phone itself. Enter the forwarding number as 10 digits, area code included. After dialing, listen for a series of beeps, then wait for the call to end automatically.
Forward unanswered and busy calls (your phone rings first)
Verizon's Conditional Call Forwarding (No Answer / Busy Transfer). Calls forward after 3 to 6 rings; the number of rings can't be changed.

Your phone doesn't ring; every call goes to the forwarding number.

Turns off either kind. The confirmation tone may sound like a busy signal.
*73Recommended setup: forward only the calls you miss
Your phone keeps ringing first, so you still take the calls you can, and the AI agent answers the rest.
- 1Get your Daber AI number. Your agent gets a US number right away. Verizon forwards only to US numbers, so use that one.
- 2On your Verizon phone, dial the code to forward unanswered and busy calls, followed by your 10-digit Daber AI number.
- 3Listen for the series of beeps, then wait for the call to end on its own.
- 4Call your number from another phone and let it ring, as described under Test it below.
Verizon landline (Fios Digital Voice, traditional and business lines)
Lift the receiver and press the code. These are the only landline codes we list: Verizon's own landline pages disagree on the codes for busy and no-answer forwarding, so confirm conditional forwarding for your line with Verizon.
Forward all calls
Press the code, wait for the tone, then dial your Daber AI number. That number rings; once it's answered, forwarding is on. If it's busy or not answered, hang up and call again (Verizon Business says within two minutes). Two short tones confirm activation.

*73Verizon landline forwarding from the web
Fios Digital Voice customers can set forwarding in My Verizon, under Account Manager > Calling Features > Call forwarding. Forward All My Calls there overrides any other forwarding choice, and the Activate call forwarding button turns forwarding on immediately. Verizon Business Digital Voice has a User Portal (Call Settings > Call Forwarding) with Always, When Busy and When no answer options; with When no answer, you choose how many rings before the call forwards.
Test it
Call your Verizon number from another phone and don't answer. With conditional forwarding, your phone rings 3 to 6 times and then the AI agent picks up. With forward-all, the agent answers without your phone ringing. Open the call in Daber AI afterwards: every call is saved as a recording, a transcript and a summary. If callers hear a busy tone, set the forward up again: Verizon says extra buttons pressed during setup can leave the number unrecognized.
Turn it off
On a mobile, dial the stop code from the phone. If you don't have the phone with you, or the code doesn't work, contact Verizon Customer Service. On a landline, lift the receiver, press the stop code and listen for two short tones.

Does call forwarding cost extra on Verizon?
Verizon charges no monthly fee for Call Forwarding on most plans, though a fee may apply on certain older plans. If you don't have unlimited minutes, every forwarded call is billed to your plan just as if you'd answered it on your phone. If your plan includes long distance, forwarded calls aren't charged long distance. On a Verizon business landline, forwarding to a long-distance number adds long-distance charges.
Can I forward only the calls I miss on Verizon?
Yes, on a Verizon mobile. The conditional forwarding code sends calls to the forwarding number when you don't answer after 3 to 6 rings, or when you're on another call. On a landline, confirm with Verizon which conditional forwarding your line supports.
Can I change how many rings before Verizon forwards a call?
Not on a Verizon mobile: Verizon forwards unanswered calls after 3 to 6 rings and documents no way to change it. Verizon Business Digital Voice lets you choose the number of rings for When no answer in its User Portal.
Can I turn on Verizon call forwarding without my phone?
Verizon says you can't manage mobile call forwarding without your mobile phone. If you don't have it, contact Verizon Customer Service.
