How do I forward calls on T-Mobile?

Dial T-Mobile's forwarding short code from your phone, followed by 1 and the 10-digit number you're forwarding to, then the pound key. T-Mobile has separate codes for all calls, unanswered calls, busy calls and calls when your phone is off or out of range, and you can choose how many seconds an unanswered call rings, from 5 to 30, before it forwards. For an AI receptionist, forward unanswered, busy and unreachable calls, so you still take the calls you can.

Recommended setup: send missed calls to your AI agent

Your phone rings first; the agent answers what you can't.

1Get your Daber AI number. Your agent gets a US number right away. T-Mobile can't forward to international numbers, so use that one.
2Dial the no-reply code with 1 and your Daber AI number, then the pound key.
3Optional: dial the delay code to choose how long your phone rings first, from 5 to 30 seconds.
4Dial the busy and not-reachable codes the same way, so every call you miss reaches the agent.
5Test it, as described below.

Test it

Call your T-Mobile number from another phone and don't answer. Your phone should ring for the delay you set, then the AI agent picks up. To test unreachable forwarding, turn your phone off and call again. Each call is saved in Daber AI as a recording, a transcript and a summary, so you can check what the caller heard.

Turn it off

Dial the off code for each forward you set, or the reset code to clear all conditional forwarding at once. Forward-all has its own off code. If you'd rather use menus, T-Mobile's Devices page has steps for your model: select your device, then Calling & Contacts > Block and/or manage calls.

T-Mobile can't forward calls to international numbers, and forwarding while roaming depends on the host country's network. If all your calls start going to voicemail, T-Mobile's troubleshooting tells you to dial the reset code and the forward-all off code. That also removes your forward to the AI agent, so set it up again afterwards.

Does call forwarding cost extra on T-Mobile?

T-Mobile's call-forwarding pages don't state a charge for forwarded calls. Check your plan, or ask T-Mobile, before you rely on it.

Can I forward only the calls I miss on T-Mobile?

Yes. T-Mobile has separate codes for unanswered calls, busy calls and calls when your phone is off or out of range. Set all three to your AI agent's number and your phone still rings first.

How long does my T-Mobile phone ring before a call forwards?

You can choose it with T-Mobile's delay code: 5, 10, 15, up to 30 seconds. A longer delay gives you more time to answer before the AI agent does.

How do I clear all call forwarding on T-Mobile?

The reset code in the table above returns busy, not-reachable and no-reply forwarding to T-Mobile's default, which is voicemail. Forward-all is turned off with its own code.
